Bringing our love of organic gardening to your green spaces

Our Story

For 15 years we have been working on home gardens, landscaping, and sustainable living. As the climate continues to change, we made the decision to create an organization that can make a difference, one yard at a time.

Seeds to Trees came to fruition over the pandemic, combining our love for organic gardening and community connection.

Our vision is to support in developing outdoor spaces that help our community, the soil, and bring back the culture of backyard gardens that has gone the way with imported produce.

Our Team

Our small and mighty team consists of three passionate individuals with a love of Colorado, the outdoors, and our community.

Meet Adam Fontichiaro, Founder

My first garden experiences came from helping my mom plant her extensive gardens every year growing up in Michigan.

The roots of my passion descended from my great grandfather who came from a farm in Italy. This generational connection led me to creating my own home gardens and getting back to our human roots of self subsistence.

My experience includes head gardener for Highland City Club in Boulder which is 2 1/2 acres of perennials and vegetable gardens, caretaker for GEO’s, a net zero energy community in Arvada, and working with my clients across the front range. My goal is to continue to learn a well as educate our community on the benefits of regenerative gardening practices. To be able to pass these lessons onto my children would be a life well fulfilled.

Meet Sean Fontichiaro, CU Master Gardener

I relocated from Michigan to Colorado for mountain living and the chance to work alongside family at Seed to Trees. I grew up honing my gardening skills with my mom and stepdad, both of whom had a deep passion for it. Our property was essentially a hobby farm, with extensive perennial beds, fruit production, and natural landscape features.

My experience spans metal fabrication, a role as a gardening assistant at an organic farm and vineyard in Northern Michigan, and building out my own first home into a hobby farm. Since moving to Colorado, I have been studying the Front Range landscape in depth, researching native plants, xeriscaping, and the region's distinct soils. I am currently completing my Master Gardener Certification through Colorado State University, deepening my knowledge of sustainable garden practices and Waterwise Gardening specific to this climate.

When I am not digging in the dirt, you will likely find me out on the mountain bike trails or soaking in the natural wonders of Colorado.

Meet Courtney Watson, Marketing

Growing up in Wisconsin, gardening has always been part of my life. My love of the outdoors followed me as I traveled and lived all over the country, from community gardens in California to discovering the tropical fruits and vegetables that thrive in Hawaii.

The enjoyment of gardening runs deeper than the garden itself. There is real meaning in supporting our own food systems, bringing pollinators into people's yards, and offering xeric options that conserve water. That sense of purpose is exactly what makes my marketing work with Seed to Trees feel like more than a job. It is a labor of love that helps the planet.

When I am not supporting the branding and marketing efforts at Seed to Trees, I work in wellness travel through my company Meliora Wellness, and teach mindfulness, yoga, and breathwork.

Giving Back

You do not have to look far to find people who are in need of nutritious, balanced meals. With this in mind, we have made the commitment to give back to our community.

Our partnership here in the greater Denver Area is Community Table in Arvada. With each garden we create and tend to, including our own, we plant a small plot to give as an offering to those in our area in need.We ask each of our clients to participate in this program (although not required) by donating a small portion of their garden to grow food for those in need.
